State Senate Candidate Forum Available on SudburyTV

A candidate forum for the Middlesex and Worcester State Senate seat featuring James Eldridge, the Democratic incumbent, and Timothy Shea, Republican, is now available on SudburyTV video on demand, and on SudburyTV cable channels.

The hour-long forum was held Sept. 30 in Acton, sponsored by the Leagues of Women Voters of Acton Area, Harvard, Sudbury and Wayland.

Among the topics the candidates discussed were surveillance systems such as Flock cameras, data centers, a gasoline tax holiday, school tuition vouchers, environmental protection, immigration, and remote participation in open town meetings. The two candidates also said how they would vote on each of the nine statewide ballot questions.

A cable subscription is not necessary to view the forum on SudburyTV’s video on demand service.

The election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3. Mail voting is available now, and in-person early voting begins Oct. 17. See the Town Clerk’s website for further information.
