League members and guests are invited to this Zoom session where two local Artists (Donna Dodson and Trina Baker) will present their work and discuss its influences, the process of creating their art, and their experience as women artists, followed by a Q&A.
Donna Dodson, a sculptor from Maynard MA, and Trina Baker, an animator from Sudbury, MA are collaborating on a socially conscious project that focusses on female empowerment. Donna and Trina have a shared interest in education and social justice. They are inspired by personal civic minded heroines: Donna’s great Aunt, an officer in the WACs, and Trina’s grandmother, who served four terms in the Connecticut state legislature focusing on public education.
