Why Work at the Polls?

To help America vote! There is a critical shortage of poll workers nationwide and Sudbury is no exception. Help strengthen our democracy, help strengthen your community, and help America vote.

What Does a Poll Worker Do?

Poll workers (election officials) are essential to the election process. Some tasks include:

  • Voter “check-in” – greet voter, check them in via poll pad, provide ballot

  • Voter “checking out” – check voter out via poll pad, direct them to cast ballot into the voting machine for their precinct

  • Vote Tallying – Review voting machine totals and count write-in votes
